SC 2019 Semilab: Computer Vision

by Jaime Ide

Come and see what a computer can perceive. In this semilab, we will cover the fundamental elements of Computer Vision. Students will learn how to load images and videos, execute basic image processing operations, detect edges and search for objects and faces in the scene. We will code in Python, write our own algorithms, as well as to run modern methods, based on convolutional neural networks, to detect and track objects such as cars in the street. Intermediate coding skills are recommended.
