SC 2023: What to bring to SigmaCamp
What to bring to SigmaCamp:
Toiletries
- Towel
- Toothbrush

Bedding (Silver Lake does not provide any)
- Bed sheets (twin XL)
- Pillowcase
- Pillow
- Blanket
Clothing
Please bring clothing for 7 days for sun, rain, heat, and cold (weather can change quickly). In addition to summer outdoor clothes (shorts, t-shirts, sports shoes), please bring warm clothes (such as a sweatshirt and long pants), and clothes for rainy weather (such as a rain jacket). Please bring also a sun hat or cap. There will not be a laundry service available. Please be advised that wearing slippers at camp is not allowed for safety reasons.
Learning supplies
Sigma provides a binder and a notebook for every camper. Please bring anything else you may need, in particular please bring pencils/pens.
Misc. items
- Sturdy water bottle labeled with camper's name (important!)
- Flashlight (important!)
- Hand watch (optional)
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
Swimming supplies
Bring two bathing suits and an additional towel. Sunscreen, as well as swimming cap, if desired.
Sports equipment
We will have a basketball court, volleyball net, soccer field, and table tennis; If you have personal sports equipment, please bring it. We will also have dancing lessons in a professional dancing room, so if you have shoes for dancing, bring them also (but of course not required to participate)!
Musical instruments
As always, we will be holding a talent show and chamber music concert at Sigma! So, if you play an instrument and are considering participating, please bring it with you! We will have a place to store instruments safely when you are not using them
What NOT to bring to SigmaCamp
Electronic devices are not permitted at SigmaCamp and should be left with parents at check-in. Campers who come to camp with a phone or other electronic device will leave their electronics with SigmaStaff for safekeeping until the end of camp.
Please do NOT bring pocket knives, fireworks, gum, candy, food or valuables including electronic and handheld devices: cell phones, radios, mp3 players, cd players, laptops, etc.
Staying in touch
The best way for parents to contact SigmaCamp staff or your child is via the SigmaTelegraph (a note-delivery service, where we print deliver your messages confidentially to your child twice daily); Campers compose hand-written notes which we scan and send to you. We will also keep a blog accompanied with pictures and you can follow us on Instagram (@sigmacamp_) for regular updates as well.
