Its 7 am and we are off,
The day of fun and learning,
Begins with exercise and sport,
And back to work returning.
The first full day of sigma camp,
With semi labs all starting,
The campers hungry to explore,
Are seen to their classrooms rushing.
The first one that I will describe,
A grand voyage beyond the planets,
A semi-lab that talks of stars,
And other worldly rabbits.
The students learn of big and small,
And how to work with giants,
The ancient history of it all,
And the math that’s all behind it.
And in the same building just below,
A lab of light and optics,
With mirrors, lenses, pinholes thrown,
To cover many topics.
An introduction which it gives,
To start mechanics quantum,
Experiment with lasers that excite,
Reveal the universe to the beholder.
And as the day comes to an end,
The campers wind down slowly,
What will the next day bring? Who knows?
It’s something to look forward.
