Today was the closing day of SigmaCamp Next. After breakfast, we started off with another set of lectures on math, computer science and biology. Followed by a quick break with a water fight with sponges and a chess-ball game, campers attended a semilab fair. For the duration of 2.5 hours, they learned about the content covered in other semilabs, also having a chance to present some of their work from the week.
The afternoon continued with the camper organized "random lecture" event, where counsellors were asked to improvise a presentation of a random powerpoint prepared by the campers in preceding days. These discussions ranged from string theory to modern day linguistics.
The camp concluded by a closing ceremony, with the announcement of the winners of the ping pong, chess and team tournaments. After a few short awards and speeches, a magical sigma shaped mural written in invisible ink of camp participants was unveiled. The evening culminated in a dance and social time where campers had a chance to sign each other's diplomas before leaving camp.
