This course focuses on engineering principles behind the devices and mechanics used to measure and evaluate electrical activity generated by the brain, the heart, and the muscles. We will start with an introduction to the electrical properties of biological cells and tissues and will move towards sensors and electronics required for the measurement of these properties. We will design an EEG system from scratch, record your brain activity while performing a decision-making task and will analyze the recorded activity using signal processing algorithms in Python. Fun Fact: By the end of this course, you will be able to control your friend's arm with mild electrical stimulation without their free will and build Brain-Computer Interfaces !!
