How does it feel to do something that changes the course of science? The goal of this semilab is to share the excitement of coming up and implementing ideas that reshaped chemistry. At each meeting, we will learn about a discovery that had a profound effect on chemistry and science at large. Most importantly, each day, we will recreate an experiment that won its author a Nobel Prize.
Familiarity with basic concepts of chemical bonding and structure will be helpful. For those who have not taken HS Chemistry, a primer on relevant foundational concepts will be distributed prior to the camp.
