Introduction to q-mathematics

Many algebraic and geometric concepts have their q-analogs, which play constantly growing role in mathematics. For example, if you assume yx = qxy and expand brackets:

you get a generalization of the binomial formula. Coefficients of the expansion give a very interesting generalization of the binomial coefficients

This is the origin of many important concepts of modern mathematics and physics. In the course I will give an elementary introduction and flavor of q-mathematics.

Prerequisites: Binomial formula, integration, differentiation, familiarity with vector spaces and operators.
