Rise and shine, campers!
As the campers woke up and made their beds, a great morning exercise session awaited them at the ballfield! Then, during their semilabs, they continued working on their projects and started getting everything ready for their final day tomorrow.
During SigmaBreak, campers made the most of the day with some lake time and high ropes! Whether relaxing by the water or challenging themselves up in the air, they had plenty of opportunities to have fun, test their skills, and try something new.
After all that excitement, it was time for another round of lectures! Andrey Boris Khesin explored the mathematics behind M.C. Escher-style tilings, while Roberto Sant’Anna dove into the surprising world of cryptography. Julia Brodsky took campers beyond Earth with a look at complex systems and astrobiology, and Mark Lukin brought things down to the atomic scale, exploring what happens when an electron falls onto a nucleus.
In the afternoon, campers headed back to their semilabs before making their way to SigmaTournament, where today's challenge put their Computer Science and Linguistics skills to the test!
After some well-deserved time to chill, campers headed into workspaces. They learned more about their own blood sugar with Eleanor Heffetz's workspace and got the chance to dive into the fascinating science behind nuclear reactors with Avital Gaidukova, as well as so many other different workspaces.
And finally, it was time for one of the most anticipated evening clubs of the week... the Talent Show! Campers took the stage to share all kinds of talents, from a self-composed piano piece by Gunes Sunar to hilarious parody songs by Sasha T., and so much more. The room was filled with cheers and laughter as campers supported their friends, celebrated each other's talents, and made even more memories together.
What a way to end the day! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings as campers head into their final day of semilabs!
