Problem of the month contest for 2018-19 has completed. Our faculty have graded all submitted solutions and determined the winners. This year we have 3 winners in each of two age categories: 8th grade and below, and 9th grade and above.
Winners in Category 5 (8th grade and below) are:
1. The First place and a $100 Amazon gift card are awarded to Mark Kovrizhkin (178 points)
2. The Second place and a $75 Amazon gift card are awarded to Maria Yaskina (153 points)
3. The Third place and a $50 Amazon gift card are awarded to Nicholas Eastwood (147 points)
Winners in Category 10 (9th grade and above) are:
1. The First place and $100 Amazon gift cards are awarded to Matthew Chekhlov (176 points)
2. The Second place and a $75 Amazon gift card are awarded to Daniel Salkinder (173 points)
3. The Third place and a $50 Amazon gift card are awarded to Samuel Rosner (165 points)
All winners will receive their gift cards by mail in the next few weeks. Diplomas and some special prizes will be awarded to all winners at the Opening Ceremony of SigmaCamp 2019!
These winners, together with other top performers in each of the age categories, are admitted to SigmaCamp 2019; they do not have to submit the qualification quiz. Those students have been notified by email - so please check your inbox!
We hope that you liked solving the problems that we have offered in 2018 and 2019 and that you will be anxiously waiting for the next year's season. We are always looking for your feedback. In preparation for the next season, we ask you to share with us what you liked and what you did not like this time. You can provide your feedback by writing to pom@sigmacamp.org, which we always greatly appreciate.
