Graphs, Paths, Walks, and Games

Coloring problems, human relations, power grids, information flows, electric circuits, and even the theory of elementary particles use mathematical gadgets called graphs. We shall learn about these beasts, tame them, and use them to solve some problems in mathematics and physics. We shall draw paths on graphs, take random walks, count them, explore melting crystals and even peek into the bubbling quantum space-time foam.
