Eligibility to apply for the Junior Counselor position:
Eligibility to apply for the Junior Counselor position:
- You must be a SigmaCamp alum
- You are turning 16 years or older before the start of SigmaCamp 2025
- You are currently in 11th or 12th grade (for international students, last two years of high school: contact info@sigmacamp.org if unsure of eligibility)
- You can make yourself available in Summer 2025 during the dates of precamp and camp (July 30 - August 9)
SigmaCamp Next
SigmaCamp Next is our second program for older students (14-17), which takes place right after SigmaCamp at the same location. The dates for this year’s SigmaCamp Next are August 10-17. The JC application is only for SigmaCamp, not SigmaCamp Next. The rules for participation in the programs in the context of JC applications are as follows:
- If you are invited as a JC and accept, you may not participate in SigmaCamp Next as a student
- If you are not invited as a JC, you may (and are encouraged to) still participate in SigmaCamp Next as a student (but may not participate in SigmaCamp)
- If you are not applying as a JC, you may participate as a student in either or both programs (if you are eligible)
- NEW RULE CHANGE: You may apply as a JC more than once. If not invited as a JC this year and you would be eligible for another year of camp at SigmaCamp Next, you may participate in SigmaCamp Next as a student and re-apply for JC the next year.
Additional Information
As are all SigmaStaff, JCs are volunteers (not paid). All living expenses and travel expenses are covered.
The application deadline is December 1st at 23:59 EST. Your application isn't complete until you have submitted the application form and received a confirmation from us by email.
Results will be announced by March 2025.
