SigmaCamp Next 2025: How to Apply

To apply to SigmaCamp Next 2025, you must complete the four steps of the application process listed below. The application deadline is April 15, 2025

All applicants will receive their admission decisions by May 5, 2025.

If you want, you can apply to both programs. In this case, you must submit solutions for both SigmaCamp 2024 Qualification Quiz (QQ) and SigmaCamp Next 2025 Entrance Exam (EE), as well as two separate essays. The recommendation letters can be shared between two applications. For those who want to apply only to SigmaCamp 2025, please go here.

Brain
1. Create an account

You need only one account for all applications and submissions on our website.
If you already have an account (from previous years or POM), skip this step and log in to your existing account at the bottom of the page. If you want to apply to both programs, you need only one account for both applications.

2. Start the application

Fill a very short form telling us to which camp you are applying. Please do so as soon as possible, even if your plans can change - there is no obligation.

3. Tell Us About Yourself

Write a short essay telling us all about you and what you are interested in.
All applicants are required to submit it (new and returning).

4. Get Recommendation Letters

Only new applicants must provide two letters of recommendation: from a math/science teacher and a personal one.
Returning campers (attended any previous SigmaCamp or SigmaCamp Next) can skip this step.

5. Solve Entrance Exam (EE)

The Entrance Exam (EE) consists of problems prepared by the semilab instructors at SigmaCamp Next. To help match you with the best semilab for your interests and skill level, EE is designed to reflect the topics of this year’s semilabs. Each semilab instructor has composed one problem related to their semilab and a skills questionnaire to help us understand your background. The problems are designed to give you a taste of the topics covered in the semilabs and to see whether you are excited to think deeply about the material.

6. Interview with Semilab Instructor (Optional)

After submitting your Entrance Exam (EE) problems, you can sign up for a 15 minute interview with a semilab instructor to discuss your solution and interest in their subject. Participation is optional and does not affect admission.

Good Luck!
