SigmaWest 2026: How to Apply

To apply to SigmaWest 2026, you have to complete the steps of the application process listed below. The application deadline is March 15, 2026.

All applicants will receive their admission decisions by April 5, 2026.

If you want, you can apply to multiple programs. In this case, you must submit solutions for both Qualification Quiz (QQ) for SigmaCamp and SigmaWest and Entrance Exam (EE) for SigmaNext, as well as two separate essays. The recommendation letters can be shared among all the applications.

1. Create an account

You need only one account for all applications and submissions on our website.
If you already have an account (from previous years or POM), skip this step and log in to your existing account at the bottom of the page. If you want to apply to both programs, you need only one account for both applications.

2. Start the application

Fill a very short form telling us to which camp you are applying. Please do so as soon as possible, even if your plans can change - there is no obligation.

3. Tell Us About Yourself

Write a short essay telling us all about you and what you are interested in.
All applicants are required to submit it (new, returning, admitted through POM).

4. Get Recommendation Letters

Only new applicants (not admitted through the POM) must provide two letters of recommendation from a math/science teacher and a personal one.
Returning campers (attended any previous SigmaCamp or SigmaCamp Next) can skip this step. Admitted through the Problem of the Month contest (POM) who have been notified by email can skip this step.

5. Solve Qualification Quiz (QQ)

The Qualification Quiz (QQ) consists of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Linguistics, and Computer Science problems. You are NOT expected to solve all the problems - try to do what you can! This year, we are also offering QQ Office Hours where students can receive one-on-one guidance from our staff!
Winners of the Problem of the Month contest (POM) who have been notified by email can skip this step.
