SigmaWest 2026 - Essay

All applicants are required to submit an essay (new, returning, admitted through POM).

This year, we ask you to include 2 topics in your essay for SigmaWest 2026:

1. About yourself: What do you like? What are your interests? Why do you want to come to SigmaCamp and what are you hoping to find there? This part is very important for us and especially for our counselors who get to know campers weeks in advance.
2. About science: Please take a look at the semilabs and lectures we had at Sigma in previous years. SigmaWest offers lots of different opportunities to learn. What’s something new you’re excited to learn? This can be anything from a niche topic to a staff member you really want to chat with - we want to know what you want to learn at Sigma!
